 Dear Friends,

We were very pleased Harry Rosenberg, Tikkun Olam Award winner #  9, was able to attend the May 16th United States Holocaust Memorial Museum National Tribute Dinner honoring Elie Wiesel and appreciate him sending the following comments:

“The speeches were memorable and emotional. Especially poignant for me was when survivors were honored. “The tribute to Elie Wiesel was very moving and emotional. I was told that attendance was 1300.  Besides Elie Wiesel, speakers included Colin Powell, Deborah Lipstadt, and a young woman who had survived the Genocide in Rwanda. I told my table mates that my family had gotten asylum in Haiti. Most of the people I spoke to were descendants of survivors.”
