42nd Annual Scholars’ Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches
We invite you to join us in discussion of the latest in Holocaust research at the 42nd Annual Scholars’ Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches (ASC)—the oldest interdisciplinary, interfaith, and international gathering on this topic in the United States—meeting in Rochester, N.Y. at Monroe Community College, May 12-14, 2012. Plenary and breakout sessions will feature scholars from around the world, including historians, theologians, philosophers, teachers, and poets, reflecting on the Holocaust and the response of the churches to the rise of German National Socialism (1933-1945), while focusing upon this year’s conference theme: 70 Years Later: The Lingering Shadow of Wannsee.
Network and share information with leading Holocaust scholars, including Wolf Kaiser, Deputy Director of the House of the Wannsee Conference and Head of its Educational Department, and explore its implications on contemporary genocides.
We look forward to welcoming you to Rochester this spring and your participation in the ongoing work of the Annual Scholars’ Conference.
