Dr. Kori Street is the Director of Programs at the USC Shoah Foundation –The Institute for Visual History and Education. She came to the Institute in 2011 from Mount Royal University, where she was an Associate Professor of history and general education and served as Chair in the Bissett School of Business. After completing a Masters in the History of Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto, Dr. Street received her PhD in history from the University of Victoria in 2001.

Her current research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning, the Canadian home front in the First World War, and the Holocaust. She completed a major web-based project on the “Black Donnelleys” with the Great Unsolved Mysteries in Canadian History group. Dr. Street’s current work is focused on the preservation and educational use of Holocaust survivor testimonies. Her most recent publications include “Patriotic, Not Permanent: Attitudes About Women’s Making Bombs and Being Bankers,” in A Sisterhood of Suffering and Service (UBC Press, 2012) and the co-authored, “Storytelling in The Digital Age: Engaging Learners for Cognitive and Affective Gains,” forthcoming in International Journal of Technology, Knowledge and Society
