Letter from U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Representative in Israel

In a message dated 2/21/2010 3:41:34 A.M. Pacific Standard Time, Genya Markon writes:

Dear Bill,

I am writing to you regarding your request for survivors of the Shoah who reached Haiti. I am sending you a bio of someone I just interviewed on behalf of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum here in Jerusalem where I work part time for the museum. I also spoke to Eva this morning and told her I was writing you. I’ve forwarded her the All Gen listing where your request appears.. and I believe she will answer you separately.

Our museum has also scanned some images from her albums of her parents and herself in Haiti. I am sure that the JErus Post would be interested in contacting her. May I ask who is writing the article? In any case I look forward to hearing from you and would be interested in knowing if you do manage to find additonal survivors from Haiti.

Good luck with your research.

Sincerely yours,

Genya Markon
